Q: How do I join Wild Prairie HOG Chapter? A: First of all, the membership requirements are simple. You MUST be a member of National HOG. (Grab your credit card and your Harley’s VIN and call (800)CLUB-HOG) Once you have the Nat’l HOG card bring it and $15 to any meeting and fill out and SIGN the brief application. Q: I’m already in a chapter, can I transfer to Wild Prairie HOG Chapter? A: Once you are a National HOG member you may join as many local chapters as you like. Q: When I bought my new bike from Wild Prairie H-D I got a Red Coupon for a free membership in your chapter. Why do I have to redeem that at a meeting. Can't you just automatically sign me up? A: Wild Prairie H-D and Wild Prairie HOG are two distinct business entities. The chapter can not afford to add every bike sale to our roster. By redeeming at a meeting you've shown a willingness to join, so we'll carry you the first year for free confident that you'll enjoy yourself and become a dues-paying member when you renew. (assuming you also renew National HOG) Q: Why do you care if I’m National HOG or not? Why can’t I just join the local chapter? Joining National is another $45 per year. A: And that $45 per year is used by National to offer training to the volunteer leaders of the local chapters. National HOG also provides the local chapters with Liability Insurance provided we maintain compliance with the membership requirements. Simply put, if you are not a member of National HOG…you are not a member of the Wild Prairie Chapter. If your National lapses, so does your local, and unless you sign an individual guest release form for each event you attend, you are not even a guest, but a trespasser! Q: What’s the deal with the sticker, and why won’t you mail it to me? A: Instead of a separate membership card for both National and local, Wild Prairie HOG has chosen to place a sticker on what we've visually confirmed to be a valid National card. This is all part of our efforts to ensure that ALL local members are indeed current National members. Q: I moved here from out of state, can I join your chapter even though I did not buy my Harley from Wild Prairie H-D? A: If you are a member of National HOG, you may join Wild Prairie HOG…and Welcome to Minnesota! Q: Often I read or hear that an activity pays an MVP point. What is MVP? A: MVP refers to Wild Prairie H-D’s Motorcycle Value Program. Belonging to BOTH Wild Prairie HOG and MVP will maximize your point accumulation! Q: I called to make an appointment for a 10,000 mile service and… A: Sorry, the HOG Chapter does not get involved in our sponsoring dealers business affairs. Also, try to avoid bringing up “shop-talk” outside of business hours with employees who are off the clock and just want to enjoy a HOG Chapter activity.
